Residency at the Bernard Boesch Museum, creations and solo exhibition.

Invited for three months by Philippe Larue, curator of the Boesch Museum, and Mr. Franck Louvrier, mayor of La Baule-Escoublac, I was able to anchor myself in the natural environment of the Guérande peninsula.

To slow down, in order to better capture the winter light and grasp the essence of the surrounding landscape.

To feel, to awaken the senses, and to let go of figuration without ever losing it; as if my canvases were fragments of nature itself.

Water is my element. It allows me to sublimate ink and acrylic. Its fluidity helps me play with transparencies. The reserves on the canvas create light, that transports the imagination into a reinterpreted nature.

Water reveals my ideas, bringing life to the emotions I wish to express.

The elements blend in order and desorder, playing

with senses and emotions.

Landscape lines lose themselves: they drift away,

emerge from the window of the canvas to engage

in a dialogue with feelings, caressing emotions.

Everything is fluid and in motion, from the tips

of waves and leaves to the light flooding the space.

Anne Morgann moves between the wild coastline

of the Guérande peninsula and the forests

of Meudon, where she immerses herself

in the blue hour, the first and last light of day.

Her canvases have no anchor point: each line

is in movement, sensitive, free, drawing

a universe that everyone and no one

can recognize at once.

It’s the blue hour, and yet we lose all sense

of time in these canvases.
